On the Farm

For two weeks we have talked about life on the farm. Our class learned about the many different animals that live on the farm and how the farmer takes care of these animals each day. We discussed how crops grow and why farms are important to our lives. We ended our first week by making homemade butter! The next week we made pancakes to go along with our story, "If You Give A Pig A Pancake" by Laura Numeroff.
Shaking the butter to make it. (Boy did our arms hurt afterward!)

Yum! All of that work was worth it!

Making AB patterns with farm stickers.

Where is the cow? A book on positions.

We made horses, cows, sheep, and we even went mud bogging!

Pancake Time!
Step 1: Read the Book!

Step 2: Make the batter
