Community Helpers/Transportation

Mrs. Copeland's class has learned about Community Helpers and Transportation for the past two weeks!

Here are some of the fun activities we did to learn about Transportation:
  • Sorted different types of transportation based on how they would travel
    (land, water, or air)
  • Measured cut-outs of planes, trains, and cars using uni-fix cubes
  • Made a class graph of our favorite color airplane
  • Made a class tally chart of who had flown on an airplane

Here are some of the fun things we did to learn about Community Helpers:
  • Pretended we were chefs and decorated our own cupcakes

  •  Pretended we were artists and painted a class mural

  • Pretended we were musicians and held an instrument parade

  • Dressed up as Doctors and Veterinarians during center time and worked on our "patients"

On Wednesday we even went to the Fire Station! The Firemen showed us all of the equipment they use to keep our community safe. Our thanks goes out to the Pembroke Fire Station for having us, we had a blast!
